Peptalks 2020 COVID-19 Update

Given the current circumstances regarding COVID-19, and after careful consideration, Peptalks 2020 has been cancelled.

We look forward to Peptalks returning in November 2021! 

The third Annual “Pep Talks” honors the life of Torrington Fire Department Deputy Chief Christopher T. Pepler who passed away November, 2017 after a long and valiant fight with cancer. 

DC Pepler was dedicated to his family, his community, and his fellow firefighters.  As a passionate student and educator in the fire service he was committed to promoting safety on the fireground.  He felt this was best accomplished by always seeking opportunities to learn more and become a better firefighter.  This event brings some of his fellow FDIC instructors to Northwest Connecticut to lecture on leadership and fireground operations, continuing his legacy of dedication to the fire service.

This year’s “Pep Talks” will benefit his family, with all proceeds donated to the Nathan Pepler College Fund.
